Rwanda
This was a very surprising country for us. The people here touched us with their stories of a tragic past but we quickly became hopeful when we learned of what is being done now to form a united country. There is so much to see in this relatively small country known as the heart of Africa. As you travel along the roads you enjoy the colours – the deep green of the tea plantations, the dark red soil and the local women with their brightly coloured dresses and head scarves. Everything about this country is gentle, kind and calm and is such a welcoming environment.
